Here is Mustard Seed Farms’ CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) information. If you have wanted to support a local farm and eat fresh, delicious organic produce affordably, this opportunity may be for you. We grow over 80 acres of produce for wholesale markets, food co-ops, and our CSA. We grow about 25 kinds of veggies with over 100 varieties, plus 3 kinds of cane berries with 8 varieties, so there will be plenty of diversity for you each week.

You can only sign up when the current year's forms are on the site. Generally the forms are update by sometime in February of each year. You can join the summer program through July 1 of each year. We will take winter members until November 1st of each year.

Sign-up forms will be available later this spring.

How does a CSA work?

A CSA is a subscription program where customers sign up and pay the farm in advance for a weekly share of that season's produce. This helps the farmer to know how much produce to grow and gives him the resources to do it. The farmer and the customer both share in the risk and the benefits of the season.

A CHANGE THIS YEAR

  • The pasture raised poultry option will be discontinued. Contact our neighbor, Mark Anderson, at: Mark@champoegfarm.com for these items

What will I get?

A summer share will get you certified organic produce every Tuesday from early July (5th?) through the end of October. Mustard Seed Farms will deliver vegetables and berries to a drop point in Newberg, where you can come get your share of the produce. For those on the east side of the river, you can pick up at our farm.

Naturally, the available produce will follow the growing season. The variety and choices you will have at the beginning of July will be slimmer than from August on, but you will always get plenty of the tastiest, freshest vegetables and berries around. And come September and October, you will be taking home a tremendous variety! See the Produce Seasons sheet for details.

A winter share, with produce available every 2 weeks, runs November through March or early April. It will include winter squash, stored root crops, cabbage, and kale, with cauliflower in the spring.

Here is a breakdown of our two growing seasons and the produce that is available in each:
