Cauliflower

March 25th, 2011

All of you winter gardeners should know that we have started picking the over wintering cauliflower this week. There are small heads in a box on the shelf in the cooler. Of course there is still green cabbage along with red and yellow onions in the cooler also.

There should be collards and kale in the field for another 2 or 3 weeks. There are a few carrots yet to dig, believe it or not. Ask for directions on that. We might even find a few beets yet this spring. So you can enjoy some fresh items through April to end the winter season.

I hope to get the 2011 Community Garden information and sign up forms prepared in the next week or so. We have some early berry pruning, and maybe some weeding in some perennials too, that can be done whenever we get some dry weather. We will keep in touch.
