I have hesitated to talk about measure 92 that you are seeing so many ads about these days. But a number of you have been asking me about it and some have been confused with all the rhetoric.

If you concerned about organic food and want to know what is in your food you need to vote yes on measure 92. All it is asking is to label food that has GMOs (genetically modified organisms) in them. They are foreign substances added to food to help large corporations make more money. They are not allowed in organic food. If they are listed on the label then people can make a choice as to whether to buy them or not. Right now you don’t know if they are there unless you buy organic.

Thanks for supporting the organic community with your yes vote. Don’t believe all the scare tactics in the opposition ads, paid for by large national corporations that don’t want you to know what they have put into your food.

I will have some Community Garden updates by tomorrow hopefully, but wanted to get this out as many of you will be filling out your recently received ballots soon.
