Hello again CSA members,

Isn’t it nice to have this pleasant weather these days. It has made it easier for the crew to get your produce picked and packed.

There is an abundance of a variety of melons this week so you will have 2 kinds to enjoy. We are into the main season Athena variety of cantaloupe which customers always rave about. In addition we let the honeydews melons ripen so that they cut easily and have full flavor.

We grow 4 kinds of fresh beans for our customers to choose from. We will share some of the beautiful yellow wax beans with you tomorrow. They are quite colorful fresh or cooked. Cauliflower production increased yesterday so we have a beautiful head of white cauliflower for all of you.

There will be some breaks in production of the different lettuces for a while, but we will try to have some for you most weeks. This week is the lovely red leaf with its tender leaves. You will have some of those extremely tasty Sungold cherry tomatoes which you can add to your lettuce salad.
